Here is a list of some of the state's most popular places to work in Appleton and other areas around the Fox cities, including Fox City's Oshkosh and Green Bay. The Paper Discovery Center has a large collection of paper making machines, paper manufacturers and paper mills. It is open for guided tours, so visitors can experience a small piece of history and Dutch heritage in one of the oldest paper mills in the world.
On-site recreation includes an indoor pool and hot tub, while other amenities include a coin-operated washer and dryer, as well as an outdoor pool with pool house. Guests can use the cocktail bar, which serves snacks and draft beer, as well as a bar and restaurant.
Menasha's main attractions include the University of Wisconsin - Fox Valley, the History Museum Castle and the Fox River Valley Museum. The History Museum Castle houses exhibits on the history of the Fox River Valley, including a gallery that exhibits traveling exhibits and an exhibit on the history of the Milwaukee County Historical Society. Wisconsin State Fair, the largest outdoor sporting event in Wisconsin, is held daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Butterfly House is home to a variety of butterflies that you can learn more about, including monarchs, milkweed and plantains. Some of my favourites are the Monarch Butterfly, the Blue Butterfly and the White Butterfly with its hive. My favourites were the Queen butterflies, the Monarch butterflies and their bees, and the Black butterfly.
The list of fun things to do in Appleton is a mile long, but I'm forced to squeeze into my featured favourites. If you use the Appleon public swimming pool in summer, now is the time to buy a ticket!
Spend a few hours on the promenade, exploring the trails and wetlands and getting to know the different species of wildlife that frequently visit the area. Visit the winter - animal-loving animals at Appleton Zoo - see the new tiger cubs, stroll through the warm exhibition rooms or visit one of the many outdoor exhibitions for animals who love winter.
Watch the film at the Marcus Theater Tuesdays at 5 p.m., and students and educators can get just $6 on Thursdays. Have a fun day of learning by watching one of the many free activities at Appleton Zoo when you are there.

Neighbourhood parks range from two to 16 hectares, with community parks ranging from 25 to 139 hectares. Along the way, visitors will experience a variety of parks developed by the city of Menasha, as well as local community groups such as the Milwaukee Parks and Recreation Department.
There are numerous ensembles, including the Menasha Symphony Orchestra, the Appleton Chorale and the Milwaukee Symphony, as well as a number of local orchestras and choirs. There is also a charter high school that includes two elementary schools, a middle school and two high schools for elementary and middle schools.
Appleton currently has no intercity passenger service, though studies are underway to expand Amtrak train services to Fox Cities and Green Bay. Amtrak Lamers offers an intercity bus service to Appleton, Menasha, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Manitowoc and Wausau.
Fox Cities is located on the Fox River, home to some of the state's top-rated waterfront breweries and restaurants. The lush reserves are a dream, and nearby Menasha is just a few miles from the Wisconsin Dunes National Wildlife Refuge (WNDR) and Great Lakes National Park (BNP). Fox City Water Park, the largest water park in Wisconsin, is a 1.5-mile-long, 1,000-acre park at the intersection of Interstate 94 and US Highway 30.
Residents of Lake Park Villas do not have to worry about lawn maintenance or snow removal, as this is covered by a monthly fee and not taxed.
